Akron, OH: Tom Zawistowski, President of the Ohio Citizens PAC, called out members of the Ohio Republican State Central Committee today for their vote to endorse in the upcoming primary elections instead of letting Republican voters decide, with their primary vote, who should be their Party’s representative in the November general elections. The ORP State Central Committee voted to endorse in both the Governor’s race and in the US Senate primary race as well as endorse every Republican who is an incumbent – including themselves as incumbent members of the State Central Committee. Zawistowski claimed that the vote Friday was an attempt to rig the primary election for the party establishment and was a step backward from protecting the right of all citizens to vote in fair and open elections. Republican Party Chairman from over 40 of Ohio’s counties signed a letter endorsing Jane Timken as the next Ohio GOP Chair.
For the past 6 years the current Chair, Mat Borges, has divided the party and shown a complete lack of leadership skills that’ll be required to pull Ohios Republican Party back together.
Borges shenanigans peaked last spring during the Primary elections when he misused party money and violated party bylaws by running attacks against fellow Republicans, including Presidential nominee Donald Trump. Continue reading
Over the weekend, the Trump campaign Ohio State director, Robert Paduchik, notified Ohio GOP State Central Committee members that the Trump campaign had enough of Chairman Borges’s duplicity and are cutting off its relationship with him. CLICK HERE
This order came directly from Trump after months of not only lackluster support from the Ohio GOP, but at times seeming to sabotage of the Trump campaign by the Chairman of Ohio’s Republican Party, Matt Borges.
Mr Paduchik said: Continue reading
Marion County GOP Chairman John Matthews was fired from his state job late Thursday following the release of an Investigation report from Ohio’s “Office of the Inspector General”.
On December 1, 2015, the Office of the Ohio Inspector General received an anonymous complaint alleging that Industrial Commission of Ohio (ICO) Director of Claims Support John Matthews “… spends his workday sleeping and fundraising for the Kasich campaign.” On December 11, 2015, the Office of the Ohio Inspector General forwarded this allegation to the ICO for an administrative review. Over the past few days, I’ve upload the Ohio Voter database to the Toledo Tea Party web site and have been crunching the data in order to better serve our NW Ohio Conservative Coalition constituents.
I was able to do a county by county analysis (see Excel spreadsheet) However, there were 5 counties that had historical data problems, so I marked their data as ERROR.
During the analysis of the data, I found several results that I find extremely interesting. and once again, support the notion that voters are tired of the same ole garbage, from both parties. Continue reading
Last fall, the Ohio Republican Party updated the party bylaws and filed them with the Secretary of State. (CLICK HERE).
The 66 member State Central Committee that you and I elected, voted and approved these bylaws. These are the rules the Republican party operates under in the state of Ohio.
Yet in March of this year, one man, the leader of the party Chairman Borges, chose to spit in the face of the 66 members, He chose to disregard the rules, and unilaterally spend hundreds of thousands of Republican party money, Not to defeat Democrats, but to defame and defeat fellow Republicans.
Leadership that does not follow the rules of the party must be removed from the leadership roll and be replaced by leaders that will work for the people who elected them, the 66 member board.
We will be submitting a petition to the 66 member board asking them to either demand Mathew Borges resign, or the 66 member board remove him from power.
