On Nov 7th 2017, Toledoians will be going to the polls to elect 6 “at-large” City Council members. Have you ever wondered what it’d take to be a City Council member? Do you have some ideas, or just want to learn more about how the process works?
On March 22nd, Toledo City Councilman Tom Waniewski will be hosting a “City Council 101” workshop to help potential candidates learn what some of the jobs and responsibilities of being a City Council member.
Councilman Waniewski will explain and walk you through such topics as the taxes, budgets, neighborhood development, getting legislation drafted, getting legislation passed.
Regardless if you’re thinking of running for one of the 6 seats, or just want a better insight as to what the City Council does, this workshop is for you.
